Welcome to Dogs at Large.co.uk The aim of this Site is to give you in-depth information for your dog should you be contemplating a move to Spain. Sometimes when such a decision is made you check out all the relevant information for yourself but it doesn’t cross your mind that life for your dog in Spain could be very different to that in the UK. Or it might be that you move to Spain and you want to have a dog or two.
I am also trying to make people more aware of the cruelty/abuse towards animals that really exists in Spain and giving the Animal Organisations the recognition they deserve for picking up the pieces caused by humans. We have to start taking a firmer stance and make our voices heard that ANIMAL ABUSE/CRUELTY is NOT ACCEPTABLE!!! And believe me when I say it's NOT just the Spanish.
Browse through the Site and you will find many interesting articles regarding the requirements for a Pet Passport, potential dangers that your dog could face and many others. You will find articles relating to animal abuse/cruelty that are heart breaking but factual.
But that is not all. I have also included a lighter side for your enjoyment. There are some lovely Rescue Poems and articles about Dogs at War. Take a look at the FUN SECTION. Here you will find some cute and fun articles to read with more ideas on the way. In the Fun Animal Videos there are some wonderful video clips with the awww factor! Browse through the PICTURE GALLERY and see some fantastic photography and not just of dogs either.
You may want to ask a question so feel free to email me and I will do my very best to help you. It may be you’ve enjoyed reading through everything and you would like to leave a comment. You will need to REGISTER first and I would love to have your feedback! It maybe you have suggestions or ideas whereby I can incorporate them into the Site. At the end of the day, this Site is for YOU. I look forward to hearing from you.

I’m Sophie, a Border Terrier, very much the Queen of the family and I moved out here 5 years ago when I was 9 y.o. I never missed the rain and mud but I did miss feeling the soft grass under my paws. And I did get fed up with the 6 monthly blood tests that I needed to make sure all was well! On the 31st May '10 although I didn't want to leave I knew it was time for me to go to Rainbow Bridge.

I’m Moose, an Italian Spinone, who likes to lead a quiet life. I was 4 y.o. when I moved out here 5 years ago and for me it was probably the best thing. I have a bad shoulder from my past but since being here in Spain it very rarely gives me a problem. I love visiting my Vet, despite the regular blood tests, and I know she’s always there for me.

I’m Lady, a black Setter, if that’s possible! Sue found me three years ago, abandoned, in torrential rain. I have never been happier and I go out of my way to please because I never want to experience my early years ever again. I adore Moose and I have the utmost respect for Sophie – after all she is the Queen! I have never experienced the English Countryside but maybe one day!
