Meet Jamie
MEET JAMIE
THE LONGEST-SERVING BRITISH ARMY MEMBER IN AFGHANISTAN
Jamie, a Springer Spaniel, was rescued from a Rescue Centre by the Army nine years ago. He was only a young puppy and was ideal to be trained as a search dog. His training was carried out at the Royal Army Veterinary Corps in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, UK. By the end of his training he could detect the slightest hint of explosives or weapons.
Reggie
REGGIE
This is a story that will have you in tears; it is beautiful.
Everything that happens to us happens for a reason. Never brush aside anyone as insignificant. Who knows what they can teach us?!
They told me the big black Lab's name was Reggie as I looked at him lying in his pen. The shelter was clean, no-kill, and the people really friendly. I'd only been in the area for six months, but everywhere I went in the small college town, people were welcoming and open. Everyone waves when you pass them on the street.

I have heard it said that there are some people who think that dogs have no souls. I tend to think that there must be many people who think the same otherwise there wouldn’t be the cruelty and abuse towards these faithful and loyal animals. Have you ever thought about what sort of role the dog plays within our society apart from being devoted companions, giving total and unconditional love?
