One cannot begin to understand why??

On Tuesday, October 6th of this year, the Humane Society DDEVIDA – Defensa de los Derechos de la Vida Animal which roughly translated means the defense of the right of an animals life – received a call from one of the veterinarians in the area of Utrera, Andalucia, to inform them that they had provided urgent medical care to a dog that had been badly assaulted with sharp weapons. The German Shepherd called Saddam was 14 and he did not have a chance to defend himself against these moron(s) or escape as he was in an enclosed area. Saddam was in his kennel at the time which gave the perpetrator(s) time to cut through the mesh enclosure before savagely attacking him for absolutely no reason at all. The vet did all he could but was unable to save Saddam’s life.

DDEVIDA has expressed it’s absolute horror at what happened to Saddam and are desperate for the police to locate Saddam’s killer{s) in order that they can be charged under the Penal Code Article 337 which states the following: "Those who maltreat with cruelty to domestic animals and unjustifiably killing or causing them serious injuries which cause physical impairment shall be punished with imprisonment from three months up to one year and disqualified from one to three years for the exercise of profession, trade or commerce they may have a connection with.”  At the same time, DDEVIDA would like to remind all citizens of the importance of reporting mistreatment of cases of occurrence, which is the only way to combat such terrible crimes towards animals.  So far nobody has been caught but the case remains open.

God love him, he was 14 years old and to have this happen to him is just so senseless.
