SEVILLE, SPAIN

Seville is in Andalusia, with a culture of extreme cruelty to animals.

In what was probably a dispute amongst gypsies they burned down a horse carriage. There were two dogs who were tied up but managed to bite through their ropes and escape.  Ronda, a small dog was also tied to the caravan but unable to escape and suffered burns to half her body. The horse had been knifed many times. According to a witness this happened FIVE days before  the animals were found by animal rescuers! Ronda is in a very serious condition at a clinic but sadly the horse had to be put down.

 

 

 

 

UPDATE: I was delighted to hear a few days ago that Ronda continues to improve. How she has come through what she has suffered I have no idea! And how delightful is it to see her looking happy?! She has gained 2 kilos in weight and her sedatives are being decreased little by little. Her character is now showing through and she is very happy and funny.
